"The texture is the
decision, not the decoration."
This body of work is rooted in physical making — embroidery, stitching, ruffle construction. The surface is treated not as an afterthought applied to a finished garment, but as the primary site of design decision-making. How something is made changes what it communicates.
Part of this work was developed collaboratively, contributing fabric texture, ruffle elements, and structural sewing support to a peer project. The collaboration required translating a shared design language into individual contributions — an exercise in listening to material as much as to a brief.
